My appointment was made for me, obstacle 1 out of the way. I chose to check this business out , as it came highly recommended. The warm greeting, peaceful atmosphere and smiling assurance put me at ease immediately. I never felt rushed or pressured or stupid. Katy took her time and explained what she was doing and how the tests were done and how our hearing works. Although I was convinced from the start that I would not need hearing aids; I was shocked at the amount of hearing loss I had. Katy fitted me with a pair of aids so that I could experience the difference the aids would make. Wow, what a difference they made. I have to sing Katy's praises, she is not only a beautiful, intelligent and kind woman, she's very skilled in her profession. Probably most important, Katy made everything about this experience a positive. That's not easy to do when we as seasoned adults have to face all the not so welcome changes that come. Finally having the volume on the TV normal for my wife is pretty cool. And to stream the TV sound wirelessly, without having a cord hanging over me, feels very free and natural for me.

Speech was so much better for me because I had a better understanding with these hearing aids and I have worn hearing aids now for 6 years. I always had trouble with consonants, like c’s and t’s if I was listening to a show like Wheel of Fortune, but now I can understand those so that is a huge plus for me.
