Katy began working for her father in 1995. She quickly learned that the work her father was doing to help people was something that she wanted to be a part of. After several years working in the customer service industry, she knew that this was an opportunity to really be part of something bigger that truly changes people’s lives. She began her training in 1996 and received her PA Fitter Registration Certificate in 1997. Katy went on to earn her National Board Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences later in her career. In 2013 Katy became a Partner at Auditory Services LLC and is the current Administrator and Specialist you will meet during your visit. Katy’s passion to help people hear better and be in the know of the most up to date technology from Audibel has allowed her to maintain generation after generation of families as patients.

James Ferrell

Founder, Retired

Jim was born and raised in Erie, PA and spent many years working in the retail appliance business. He also sold boats for a brief time. After all of his years in retail he found himself unemployed and knew in his 40’s he needed a career that would be his forever career. He also knew after all his years in retail he wanted to do something that was really going to help people and develop relationships. He is hard of hearing himself and has worn hearing aids for over 30 years. His father was also hard of hearing and a hearing aid user. He purchased Auditory Services in Erie in 1991 and in Franklin in 1992. In 2013 he made his daughter, Katy Mizikowski, BC-HIS his business partner. Jim officially retired in 2015 and is very happy living with his wife, Linda, in Florida.

Diana Brooks

HIS

Diana Brooks is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist with the Department of Health of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the International Hearing Society where she focuses on continuing education and professional ethics. Diana brings extensive experience in audiological testing and fitting hearing instruments for adult clients. Her journey with Auditory Services LLC began as a Data Entry Specialist and Insurance Claims Administrator, where she honed her skills in interpreting audiograms and navigating third party administrators. Diana completed advanced professional training through the “Distance Learning for Professionals in Hearing Health Sciences” online course module and hands-on components where she received her certification.

Diana’s experience also includes working with Audibel Laboratories representatives through the Consultations Programs. There, she honed her skills in best-in-class fitting software and live simulations. As a nationally recognized provider, she accepts Medicare Advantage plans that partner with NationsHearing and TruHearing as well as CareCredit to help pay for better hearing needs.

Stefanie Fitzgerald

Apprentice Fitter

Stefanie Fitzgerald is an Apprentice Fitter and Receptionist with Auditory Services LLC, where she combines strong administrative skills with a passion for helping others improve their quality of life. With an Associate Degree in Administrative Office and Health Information Technology, Stefanie brings a detail-oriented and approachable presence to her work while supporting both patients and team operations.

Known for her friendly personality and dedication to service, Stefanie enjoys creating positive experiences for those around her and believes in helping people become the best version of themselves in all aspects of life. Outside of work, she values spending time with family and friends and enjoys selling flowers, fresh produce, and unique odds and ends from her home.
